Feliz Navidad

there are so many great aspects of xmas but my favorite is finding the perfect gift to give people.
i enjoy the thrill of looking for that one thing that you know is going to really make that person happy, but also surprising them.
i know that my brothers will love their presents if i have a hard time giving these precious thrift store finds to them because i love them so much i would like to keep them myself.
i found allen the greatest italian tan leather messenger bag with two metal buckles straps.
so great.

it's been a peaceful, navidad.  full of love, the spirit of christmas and family humor.

A bond that can't be broken.

Laura and i became friends in sixth grade and in our early high school years we became bff.  Our interests were somewhat similar yet our personalities so different yet complimentary.  She knew my passions, insecurities, standards, political viewpoints, religious beliefs, dislikes, quirks, relationship dynamics, and concerns.  she still does.
Even with the distance our choices in Universities brought we held on to each other.  Every year since we graduated from high school laura will come visit me around October/ November and i visit her over the summer.
While talking to my mom about laura's visit last week i realized that what laura and i have is something so beautiful.  Maintaining a best friend like friendship for 10 + years in and of itself is a rarity, especially when i think of everything we've had to overcome i know it's a one of a kind friendship.
I am so grateful to have a friend who even though is not LDS tries to understand and always is open with spirtual discussion.
She is a spiritual giant in my life, my thrifting companion, my sister-friend, my mentor, my comforter, my best friend.
she completes me.

Call me superstitious

It may just be the fact that i'm chilean and have many cooky friends, but i am extremely superstitious.
I have to always knock on wood.
I'm not sure why this one has become such an obsession of mine, but probably has something to do with my friend leah who is an avid believer of knocking on wood to not be jinxed.

But what i'm more particular certain about is vibes/ energy released by people, animals, & houses.

For instance,  today at work there was a guy that came up to the window asking to talk to my boss & i immediately had a weird feeling.  He was probably in his late twenty's and in no way looked creepy, but my insides were just turning with discomfort from looking/talking to him.   There was no validation behind these feelings that i'm aware of, yet i really trust them.

When i meet people i often get vibes from them.
I had a room mate that just moved in and i had great vibes about her and her presence in our new house.  I didn't know her very well previously, but it almost seemed like fate.   Like it was meant to be and it's what we both needed.

I consider myself to be a people person.  I need human interaction.  and quite a bit of it.
There was a dreadful time in my life where i worked at an opinion center where I would call people and just do survey's for different organizations or businesses.  To some it was the dream job.  You could eat, listen to music, play on your computer, read, or anything else as long as when an interview would come up that you would focus on that.  It was never that busy or stressful, but i HATED this job.  there were times where i told my mom i would do anything else in the world rather then go to work.  I couldn't stand how impersonal it was.  How people just treated people so much differently just because we couldn't look each other in the eye.

These vibes that i get have yet to fail me.  I have made close friends solely based off a good feeling or eye contact.  i love making connections.  It really just deepens my belief  in karma and that we are all connected.  We all are under the same sun & that is enough to connect us one to another.
